Snow Fun Safaris arranges fun snowmobile safaris for small groups. Snowmobiling is a great way to get around in arctic nature and see the Yll\u00e4s region from various perspectives. In addition to showing snowy forests and the mighty fells, we also introduce you to places which were important to the S\u00e1mis and Finns in days gone by and try to bring them alive through the stories told by the guide.<\/p>\n
At the beginning of every snowmobile safari our guide will give guests thorough driving instructions.<\/p>\n
We use new 600 cc four-stroke snowmobiles on our safaris.<\/p>\n

This snowmobile safari is the most suitable one for first timers and families as an introduction into the mysteries of snowmobiling and the enchanting Lapland scenery. Having mastered safety and driving instructions, we set off for a gentle cruise covering about twenty kilometres. Around halfway we stop for a hot drink and a bun in a warm Lappish tepee kota.<\/p>\n
Duration:<\/strong> 2 hours \/ 20 km Are you interested in arctic nature? With this trip you will get to admire the flora and fauna of the winter landscape. Duration:<\/strong> 3 hours \/ 30 km We recommend this snowmobile safari for people with a taste for speed who also wish to enjoy magnificent scenery. Duration:<\/strong> 2,5 hours \/ 30 km This snowmobile safari takes you to two fell tops and is therefore suitable for adventurous minds. At the beginning we start to climb steadily to the top of Kuertunturi fell, from where we can see the village of \u00c4k\u00e4slompolo and the surrounding fells from a new, bird\u2019s-eye perspective. The journey continues down the north side of the fell and through the old forests of the Yll\u00e4s region. On our way we also cross little brown-trout streams before enjoying a coffee break in a hut. The twenty-five-kilometre journey back is covered at speed via the top of Yll\u00e4s fell.<\/p>\n Duration:<\/strong> 4 hours \/ 45 km On this one-day snowmobile safari we head to the largest gorge lake in Scandinavia, Pakasaivo, where we see for ourselves the force of the water as it melted after the last Ice Age. Pakasaivo was as an important worship site. In the old times the Lapps used to get together in Pakasaivo to sacrifice antlers, fish and reindeer for their gods. Our guide tells us how the inhabitants of Lapland lived and survived in days gone by. We mostly drive along maintained snowmobile tracks, but part of the journey is along natural trails. At the half-way point we enjoy hot drinks and a soup lunch by fire.<\/p>\n Duration:<\/strong> 6 hours \/ 70 km Would you like to enjoy a real snowmobiling challenge? This snowmobile safari covers approximately 125 kilometres in total and takes us not only to the top of Yll\u00e4s fell, but also around other fells nearby. Most of the time it is \u201cgo, go, go\u201d, but there are a couple of stops for coffee and another break for lunch. Part of the route is along snowmobile tracks, part off-track. The journey takes between seven and nine hours, depending on the weather, the snow conditions, and the drivers.
