Each year, around twenty million kilos of snow and 300\u202f000 kilos of crystal-clear natural ice are used to build the spectacular Snow Village which changes in shape and design to amaze visitors year after year. Covering an area of about 20 000 square metres, the Snow Village consists of a snow hotel with snow rooms and suites, ice restaurant, ice bar, ice chapel, a slide and a vast network of striking corridors full of spectacular snow and ice art to explore.<\/p>\n
Snow Fun Safaris organizes both bus and snowmobile tours to the Snow Village every week.<\/p>\n

Little Lainio village situated in the middle of the woods some thirty-five kilometres from \u00c4k\u00e4slompolo, is famous for the snow and ice art attracting people from all over the world. Our snowmobile trip leads us through forests and over frozen lakes and swamps to the Snow Village and passes over the mighty Yll\u00e4s fell on the return trip. At the Snow Village you will have plenty of time to admire the snow hotel at your own pace and also to have a soup lunch in the Lainio Inn.<\/p>\n
Duration:<\/strong> 4,5 hours \/ 65 km Twenty million kilos of snow and 300 000 kilos of crystal-clear natural ice are used every year to create the unique Snow Village. Artists from around the world spend many hours crafting the ice blocks into fantastic sculptures. The Snow Village is located only thirty-five kilometres away from \u00c4k\u00e4slompolo and therefore within easy reach. We will go there by bus and explore the snow and ice art at our own pace.
